a little bit about me

I'm Ashley Estrada, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Lawrence, Kansas. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, religious trauma and deconstruction, and neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, or figuring out if you might be neurodivergent).

“My clients are often struggling with anxiety, depression, religious trauma, and the impacts of Autism, ADHD, and sensory issues. I love to dig deep into topics such as belonging, self-worth, and purpose.”

My approach is direct, collaborative, and—let's be honest—occasionally includes an F-bomb or two. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, not where you think you "should" be.

I'm neurodivergence-affirming, LGBTQ+ affirming, and committed to creating a space where you can show up as your full, authentic self without judgment.

my approach to therapy

No-Nonsense

I'll be real with you. No jargon, no tiptoeing around the hard stuff.

Collaborative

We're a team. You're the expert on your life—I'm here to help you figure it out.

Strengths-Based

I believe in your resilience. You've already survived 100% of your hardest days.

I also embrace...

Mindfulness and gratitude practices
The value of human connection
Getting in touch with the body and inner knowing
A strengths-based lens for every client

what I believe

I believe in the inherent resilience of the human spirit. You've made it this far, and that tells me something important about you.

I believe that neurodivergence isn't something to be fixed—it's a different way of experiencing the world that deserves understanding and support.

I believe that religious trauma is real, and that deconstructing your faith (or rebuilding it in a new way) is valid and worthy of support.

And I believe that you deserve a therapist who gets real with you—someone who will meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you figure out the road ahead.
