a little bit about me

I'm Ashley Estrada, a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Lawrence, Kansas. I specialize in working with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, religious trauma and deconstruction, and neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, or figuring out if you might be neurodivergent).

“My clients are often struggling with anxiety, depression, religious trauma, and the impacts of Autism, ADHD, and sensory issues. I love to dig deep into topics such as belonging, self-worth, and purpose.”

My approach is direct, collaborative, and—let's be honest—occasionally includes an F-bomb or two. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, not where you think you "should" be.

I'm committed to creating a space where you can show up as your unmasked self — even if you're still trying to figure out who that self is.

my approach to therapy

No-Nonsense

I'll be real with you. No jargon, no tiptoeing around the hard stuff.

Collaborative

We're a team. You're the expert on your life—I'm here to help you figure it out.

Strengths-Based

Accommodations and support don't negate your resilience.

I also embrace...

Parts work
Feminist and social justice frameworks
Person-centered modalities
Solution-focused work

my values

I value the inherent value and dignity of every human being. We are all deserving of love, kindness, and deep compassion.

I believe that we must heal and nurture ourselves in order to heal and nurture our communities.

I value the power of the individual and the collective in resisting oppression, injustice, and abuse.

I believe that neurodivergence isn't something to be fixed — there is both beauty and challenge in experiencing the world differently.

I value honesty, empathy, accountability, and authenticity.
